SUSTech PDE Workshop and Forum will be jointly held by the Department of Mathematics and International Center for Mathematics of Southern University of Science and Technology on January 13-14, 2020. The main convener of this event is Professor Lin Fanghua of the New York University Courant Institute. There will be more than ten young experts in the field of PDE at home and abroad to make academic reports in this workshop. Also, there will be more than twenty senior experts in the field of PDE at home and abroad to participate in the Forum's round table forum, and the following topics will be discussed in depth:
· What seems to be the most exciting and promising directions/developments in PDEs currently?
· What are the current strengths of PDE research in China?
· How can we provide more opportunities and supports for young researchers/students in PDEs?
· What could be changed in the current education/research training in order to see more original and fundamental researches?
