Abstract：

We start the talk by introducing some basic notations in coding theory. We then introduce Reed-Solomon codes which is a very special class of algebraic geometry codes. General algebraic geometry codes are defined after Reed-Solomon codes.
We then survey state-of-art of algebraic geometry codes including bounds and decoding. Finally, we report our recent progress on decoding of algebraic geometry codes.
